Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest and recover from your journey, and in the evening, you can explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a popular tourist hub in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m) After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Enjoy breathtaking views of terraced fields, green hills, and picturesque villages along the way. The journey takes approximately 7-8 hours, and upon reaching Syabrubesi, settle into your lodge and prepare for the trek.

Day 3: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2,200m) Today, your trek begins as you ascend through terraced fields and lush forests. Pass by traditional Tamang villages, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture and witness their unique way of life. Arrive in Gatlang, a beautiful Tamang village known for its traditional stone houses and friendly inhabitants.

Day 4: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2,380m) Leaving Gatlang, the trail descends to Thangbuchet and continues through dense forests, crossing a suspension bridge over the Chilime Khola (river). Trek onwards to Tatopani, which translates to “hot water” in Nepali. Here, you can relax in the natural hot springs and soothe your tired muscles.

Day 5: Trek from Tatopani to Thuman (2,400m) via Nagthali (3,165m) Today’s trek offers stunning views as you ascend to Nagthali, a high viewpoint located at an altitude of 3,165 meters. Marvel at the panoramic vistas of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. After enjoying the views, descend to the Tamang village of Thuman, known for its rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality.

Day 6: Trek from Thuman to Briddim (2,345m) Begin your day with a visit to the ancient Buddhist monastery in Thuman, where you can observe the local customs and rituals. Continue the trek to Briddim, a charming Tamang village with traditional stone houses. Interact with the friendly locals and immerse yourself in their authentic way of life.

Day 7: Trek from Briddim to Lama Hotel (2,470m) Today’s trail descends through rhododendron forests, crossing several suspension bridges along the way. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance as you pass by waterfalls and lush vegetation. Eventually, you’ll reach Lama Hotel, a small settlement nestled in the heart of the Langtang Valley.

Day 8: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley (3,430m) As you continue your journey, the trail opens up to reveal breathtaking landscapes. Trek through dense forests of pine and oak, encountering cascading waterfalls and grazing yaks in the verdant pastures. Finally, arrive at Langtang Valley, surrounded by majestic peaks and breathtaking views.

Day 9: Trek from Langtang Valley to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) Today’s trek takes you to Kyanjin Gompa, a sacred Buddhist monastery. Enjoy the mesmerizing views of Langtang Lirung (7,234m), the highest peak in the region. Explore the monastery and soak in the spiritual atmosphere. You can also hike to Tserko Ri (4,984m) for stunning panoramic views of the Langtang range.

Day 10: Rest day in Kyanjin Gompa Take a well-deserved rest day in Kyanjin Gompa to acclimatize to the altitude. Explore the surrounding areas, visit the cheese factory, and interact with the friendly locals. Enjoy the serene beauty of the mountains and take in the tranquility of this remote Himalayan region.

Day 11: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,470m) Begin your return journey as you retrace your steps from Kyanjin Gompa. Descend through Langtang Valley, surrounded by the stunning landscapes and panoramic views. Arrive at Lama Hotel, where you can relax and reflect on your trekking adventure.

Day 12: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1,550m) Continue descending through lush forests, crossing suspension bridges and enjoying the natural beauty of the region. Arrive in Syabrubesi, where you can celebrate the successful completion of your trek and spend the evening relaxing.

Day 13: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu Bid farewell to the Tamang Heritage Trail as you embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the last glimpses of the picturesque landscapes and reminisce about your incredible trekking experience.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Leave Nepal with unforgettable memories of the Tamang Heritage Trail trek and the warm hospitality of the Tamang people.
