Gosaikunda Lake is a popular lake among trekkers and religious people. It rests at highlands of Langtang Region at an altitude of 4,380 meters.

It lies in Rasuwa District to the north of Kathmandu Valley. This alpine freshwater lake has dozens of associated lakes including Bhairav Kunda and Saraswati Kunda.

Gosainkunda Langtang Trek is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Langtang National Park. It’s situated in the northeast part of central Nepal, close to Kathmandu. In fact, it is visible from Kathmandu Valley.

This trek lets you experience deep gorges, rocky terrain, pine forests, yak pastures, insight into Buddhist religious practices, mystical monasteries, picturesque villages, hillside terraces, serene valleys, and breathtaking glaciers originating from high mountains.

The trial also takes us to the sacred  Gosainkunda (4,380m / 14,620ft), an alpine freshwater lake high up in the mountains of the Rasuwa.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative who will assist you with the immigration process and transfer you to your hotel.
Spend the day relaxing and getting acclimated to the local time and climate.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (2000 m).
After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi, the starting point of your trek.
The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes, terraced fields, and traditional villages.
Overnight stay in Syabru Besi.

Day 03: Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2748 m).
Begin your trek from Syabru Besi, crossing the Bhote Koshi River and ascending through a dense forest.
Pass by beautiful waterfalls and enjoy the stunning views of the Langtang Mountain range.
Reach Lama Hotel and rest for the night.

Day 04: Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley (3500 m).
Continue your trek along the Langtang River, traversing through rhododendron and bamboo forests.
Ascend gradually to reach the picturesque Langtang Valley, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
Overnight stay in Langtang Valley.

Day 05: Langtang Valley to Kyanjin Gompa (3870 m).
Today’s trek takes you to Kyanjin Gompa, a sacred monastery nestled in the Langtang Valley.
Hike through high alpine meadows and enjoy panoramic views of the mountains.
Explore Kyanjin Gompa and visit the local cheese factory.
Overnight stay in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 06: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2784 m).
Begin your descent from Kyanjin Gompa and retrace your steps back to Lama Hotel.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the soothing sound of the Langtang River.
Overnight stay in Lama Hotel.

Day 07: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2000 m).
Descend further down from Lama Hotel and trek towards Thulo Syabru.
The trail offers stunning views of the Langtang Himalayas and the dense forested hills.
Explore the village of Thulo Syabru and experience the local culture.
Overnight stay in Thulo Syabru.

Day 08: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3330 m).
Leave Thulo Syabru behind and trek uphill to Sing Gompa.
Pass through dense forests and enjoy panoramic views of the Langtang region.
Visit the sacred Sing Gompa monastery and immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere.
Overnight stay in Sing Gompa.

Day 09: Sing Gompa to Lauribina Yak (3920 m).
Continue your ascent towards Lauribina Yak, crossing several yak pastures and enjoying the breathtaking views.
As you climb higher, the landscape becomes more rugged and alpine.
Overnight stay in Lauribina Yak.

Day 10: Lauribina Yak – Gosaikunda (4460 m).
Today’s trek takes you to the sacred lakes of Gosaikunda, an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists.
The trail passes through rugged terrain and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
Explore the serene lakes and witness the religious rituals performed by devotees.
Overnight stay in Gosaikunda.

Day 11: Gosaikunda to Gopte (3440 m).
After exploring the sacred lakes of Gosaikunda, begin your descent towards Gopte.
The trail descends through rocky terrain, passing by several small lakes and beautiful landscapes.
Enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and forests as you make your way to Gopte.
Overnight stay in Gopte.

Day 12: Gopte to Tharepati (3640 m).
Resume your trek from Gopte, ascending through dense forests and rhododendron-covered hills.
Pass by waterfalls and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.
Reach Tharepati, a small village located on a ridge, and take in the panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Overnight stay in Tharepati.

Day 13: Tharepati to Gul Bhanjyang (2140 m).
Descend from Tharepati and continue your trek towards Gul Bhanjyang.
The trail offers a mix of gradual descents and ascents through forests and small settlements.
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the views of the valleys and mountains.
Overnight stay in Gul Bhanjyang.

Day 14: Gul Bhanjyang to Chisopani (2134 m).
From Gul Bhanjyang, descend further towards Chisopani.
The trail takes you through rhododendron forests and terraced fields, with occasional views of the distant Himalayas.
Reach Chisopani, a beautiful village known for its panoramic sunrise and sunset views.
Overnight stay in Chisopani.

Day 15: Chisopani to Sundarijal (1300 m) and Drive back to Kathmandu.
Begin your final day of trekking from Chisopani and make your way towards Sundarijal.
The trail passes through forests and charming villages, offering glimpses of rural life in Nepal.
Arrive at Sundarijal and board a vehicle for a drive back to Kathmandu.
Upon reaching Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and rest.
Spend the evening exploring the vibrant streets and markets of Kathmandu.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 16: Final Departure.
After breakfast, depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
Bid farewell to Nepal with cherished memories of your Langtang and Gosaikunda trek.
End of the trip.
